Nicola Dudley joins us from MTM Consulting, where she has been advising independent schools, following two headships of girls’ schools, at Surval Montreux, Switzerland and Queen Margaret’s in York. She attended Wycombe Abbey as a pupil, is a musician, an athlete, and holds a first-class honours degree in modern languages from the University of Oxford and postgraduate certificate of education from the University of Edinburgh. She has spent her career in independent schools in the UK and abroad and is a strong advocate for girls’ education. Her experience and values align closely with those of Truro High School. We are excited about the leadership she will bring to our community.
The Chair of Governors says: “Following a rigorous and highly competitive recruitment process, we are thrilled to appoint Nicola Dudley as the next Head of Truro High School for Girls. Nicola impressed the selection panel with her clear vision for the future of girls’ education, her warmth, and her ability to inspire both pupils and staff. We are confident that she will build on the school’s strong foundations and lead it with distinction into its next chapter as its approaches its 150th anniversary.”
Nicola Dudley says: “’I am delighted to be joining such a warm and welcoming community. I have been impressed by the energy and creativity of Truro High School. All-through excellence, where academic ambition is coupled with richness of opportunities beyond the classroom, inspires and enables the girls to flourish. I am very much looking forward to embracing life at Truro High School and continuing to build on the school’s many strengths.”
Truro High School for Girls, founded by Archbishop Benson in 1880, has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence, a rich co-curricular programme, and a nurturing environment in which girls thrive.
