Empowering Voices and Mastering Mindset

In February we welcomed Lucy Cox, Director and Lead Coach from The Academe, as part of a Networking and Public Speaking workshop with TECgirls. The inspiring and empowering session also welcomed Sixth Formers from other local schools, as they took part in an insightful workshop on confident networking, imposter syndrome and mindset.

Lucy guided the group through the eight building blocks of self-confidence, exploring how to manage thoughts and shift mindsets for success. The session sparked meaningful discussions on bolstering self-confidence and becoming effective public speakers, with the girls openly sharing what they feel currently holds them back in public-facing environments. It was a fantastic opportunity for our girls, and attendees, to learn valuable life skills, that will support them when they head to higher education and beyond. A huge thank you to Lucy and TECgirls for their inspirational event, which left our girls feeling ready to take on new challenges!
