Future Ready |
We were delighted to welcome Marine Biologist Amy Bray, founder of the charity, Another Way. Amy founded the eco charity in 2019 when she was just 16, her aim was to inspire people to take their future in their own hands, empowering them to make impactful changes in the face of a global polycrisis.
Amy now travels the UK, giving talks to children in schools, helping to inspire them to do their bit to be kinder to our planet. Our girls from Senior School took part in a variety of workshops and activities, learning about sustainability, biodiversity and the importance of environmental stewardship. We are incredibly grateful to Amy for sharing her knowledge, passion and journey with us, empowering the next generation to create a more sustainable future for all.
At Truro High, we are proud to be actively working towards Net Zero. We are currently 18 months into an active sustainability plan, dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and making our campus more eco-friendly. Over the summer, we invested in new energy efficient eco-conscious boilers, and plans are underway to increase our number of solar panels to harness renewable energy. It’s a journey that reflects our commitment to a more sustainable future, setting an example for our students to become responsible global citizens.
