We always talk about the Truro High Family and at GCSE results day the sense of pride in our close-knit community was very clear with the girls taking just as much pleasure in their friends’ excellent results as in celebrating their own. Bella opened her results to find twelve top grade GCSEs but her thoughts were all for her friends as she said: “I am so pleased for all of us who have got these results today. We’ve all worked so hard and I’m so relieved that I, and my friends, have got the results we wanted.”

Also celebrating was Marcy who said: “I am so happy and relieved. We went through so much during the pandemic and after all that I am just so pleased that it has gone as well as it has for us all.”

Eleanor added: “I’m really happy for everyone and just want to say a big thank you to the school for helping me along the way.”

Delighted mum Mandy said: “Thank you to Truro High for nurturing her and bringing her on so well and getting such amazing results.”

There were excellent results too for Orla whose incredible commitment, determination and dedication has today earned her 10 GCSEs. Proud mum Michelle said: “She has worked so hard and done so well and we are just so proud of her.”

Headmistress Sarah Matthews also praised the close relationships between staff and students saying: “Today’s results demonstrate the incredible hard work that the girls have put in. They worked phenomenally hard in partnership with their teachers to ensure they have the very best outcomes today and we could not be more proud of them. We delight in every single girl’s achievements, not just academically but in all the other ways they have enriched our school community.”
