Today our school came together for Remembrance Day, with the staff and girls from Pre-Prep to Sixth Form encouraged to reflect on those who are no longer with us.

Today our Senior School headed to St John’s Church for a service of Remembrance, to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth and reflect on those who have been lost. Led by Reverend Harwood, the beautiful service included poem readings, the Last Post performed by Year 8’s Amelia and Rosie, a musical solo of 'In Flanders Fields' by Year 8 Dora, and an Exhortation recital by Sixth Former Mia and our Head Girl, Esme.

In Prep School, the girls marked the day by making their own fabric poppies, learning the history of the red poppy, and the importance of reflection. This was a particularly special activity for the girls whose parents have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, with those pupils sharing their stories and reflecting with their friends as they created their own unique poppy to wear.
