We were delighted to welcome back alumna, Rosie, who shared her inspiring journey with our eager Prep 3 girls as part of their new Rainforest topic for Lent Term. Rosie, who is currently working with our partner charity, Edukid, as the UK Schools Relationship Manager, recounted her incredible experience on her most recent trip to help the indigenous Awajun community and its schools, deep in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru.

Rosie was inspired to pursue her new life-changing role during a school trip to Cambodia, and her work has already taken her around the world, including Uganda – where she is returning in 2 weeks’ time. Her vibrant storytelling left an indelible impression on our Prep 3 girls, igniting their curiosity, as they asked intelligent and meaningful questions, to discover how people living in the rainforest have access to water, and how many species of animals Rosie saw whilst on her travels. She even taught the girls how to say 'thank you' in Awajun language!
