Congratulations to our Year 13 Melissa, who has been selected to represent England in the 2024 Junior World Fencing Championships in Saudi Arabia!
Melissa manages to balance her busy school schedule, studying for her final A Level exams, and her impressive sporting commitments with ease. In the coming weeks she is set to attend the Junior European Championships in Naples, and over the summer, she will be travelling to New Zealand to represent England in the Junior Commonwealth Championships, going head-to-head against some of the best young Fencers in the world.
Melissa began fencing at age six using a soft foam sabre; over the years she has been a member of the Truro High School Fencing Club, and she currently trains at the Truro Fencing Club. To be selected to represent England is an incredible achievement that has taken years of dedication, we are incredibly proud of Melissa and wish her the best of luck in her upcoming competitions!
