We are delighted to announce that Truro High School for Girls has been awarded the status of ‘World Class School’, which confirms the school’s position as a national leader in education, with Truro High only the third girls’ school in the UK to be awarded the prestigious status!

The accolade marks the end of a two year journey for the school to introduce the framework and philosophy of HPL, High Performance Learning, which equips each student with advanced cognitive skills and the essential values, attitudes and attributes that they will need for lifelong success.

Truro High joins leading schools from across the globe in being recognised as one of the world's top schools, at the forefront of educational practice. As an accredited World Class School, Truro High School has demonstrated expertise in contemporary learning science and introduced the contemporary High Performance Learning which systematically builds the cognitive competencies that research demonstrates lead to success. The school is confirmed as a world-class institution offering unparalleled learning outcomes for its students.

Headmistress, Mrs Sarah Matthews said: “I am delighted that after our recent accreditation inspection, Truro High School has been awarded World Class School status, an accolade reserved for the most successful schools working with the High Performance Learning group. This is testament to the diligent work of the staff and students of Truro High School in embracing and embedding this outstanding pedagogical development with the enthusiasm it deserves, as it will ensure our girls have the skills and habits of mind to ensure they are successful learners who stand out in any field; who have the confidence to think for themselves and drive their own learning and professional development in any future university or workplace.”
