Truro High School is proud to be one of a small number of schools in the UK selected for inclusion in the prestigious 'Commonwealth at 75' anniversary publication.
The Commonwealth at 75 has been researched and written by a select team of academics and award-winning authors. Produced in partnership by the History of Parliament Trust and Royal publisher, St James's House, the publication explores and celebrates the ideas, individuals and organisations that have contributed to the Commonwealth's success, past and present.
Recently we were honoured to attend the official launch of the publication at Westminster Abbey, along with dignitaries throughout the Commonwealth. Featuring speeches by Canon Anthony Ball of Westminster Abbey, Lord Marland and Ransford Smith CD, former Commonwealth Deputy Secretary-General.
Richard Freed, founder of St James’s House, said: “We’re delighted to be launching this prestigious publication, which pays tribute to the Commonwealth and its member states. The 75th anniversary offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on the organisation’s past, present and future.”
Truro High School was selected to appear in the esteemed publication as a national leader in education, known for it's dynamic and inclusive approach to girls' education in which all girls have every opportunity to thrive!
