We are delighted to announce that Truro High Prep School has been awarded a Go Cornish Bronze Award! One of only 11 schools to be awarded this fantastic recognition.
Commissioned by Cornwall Council, Go Cornish is a school programme designed to celebrate the Cornish language in a fun and immersive way for all. The Bronze award aims to bring awareness, enjoyment and engagement with the Cornish language, with criteria ranging from Cornish language resources around the school, to regularly speaking the Cornish language in lessons and enjoying our local Cornish heritage. Will Coleman and representatives from Go Cornish visited our Prep School to present our Bronze award. During which our girls performed a THS favourite, 'Cornwall my Home', including a verse in Cornish - of course!
A huge thank you to Mrs Hendra, who has been leading the Go Cornish programme for our Prep School - we are very proud to be keeping the Cornish language alive!
