Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day at Truro High School for Girls
Last week Truro High School for Girls hosted an inspiring event to mark International Women in Engineering Day, part of the global initiative launched by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES)in 2014. With the 2025 theme #TogetherWeEngineer, the day aims to amplify the voices and achievements of women in Engineering, a field where they still represent only around 16.9% of the UK workforce. It was a pleasure to welcome lots of local businesses and primary schools to our event.
One student shared: “Before today I would never have even thought about a career in Engineering but this has really opened my eyes to what you can do”
