In June twenty-four students and five cars; Green Goddess, Gladiator, Empress, KM1, and KM2 proudly represented our school at the Predannack Greenpower Engineering Race.
In an exciting Race 2, KM1 finished 2nd and Green Goddess took 3rd place. Overall, KM1 secured 3rd place, earning the team medals and a trophy.
This event also marked a special milestone, as Mr. Dean participated in his final race before retirement. He proudly crossed the finish line carrying the chequered flag. In recognition of his years of dedication to student learning in motorsport and engineering, he was honoured with the Spirit of Greenpower trophy by the Greenpower Education Trust.
Later in the month the team then went on to secure an impressive 3rd place trophy overall at Predannack Airfield in the F24 race. This marks THS’s first ever podium finish – an incredible achievement, especially considering the car is only 13 weeks old. With this result, the team has officially qualified for the finals!
