On Tuesday evening, our school community came together at Truro Cathedral for our annual Nine Lessons and Carols service, a cherished tradition and a truly special way to celebrate the festive season. We are extremely proud that this service is adapted from an Order drawn up by our School’s founder, E.W. Benson, later Archbishop of Canterbury, for Christmas Eve 1880.
The service opened with special performances by soloists Elsa, Jyoti, Ornela, and Kerenza, followed by a warm introduction from our Head, Mrs. Matthews. We were delighted to hear readings from our Head Girl, Jemima and Deputy Head Girls, Alina and Tracey, as well as from Rosie (Year 7), Edie (Year , Lily (Year 9), Nanaserwaa (Year 10), and our Chair of Governors.
Throughout the evening, we enjoyed beautiful choral performances and a selection of beloved Christmas carols, sang by our Prep, Chamber, and Senior choirs. At the end of the service a collection was made in aid of St Petrocs.
It was a truly memorable evening, filled with festive joy, music, and community spirit.
