It is with great sadness that we must share with you news of the loss of a much loved member of the Truro High School family.

Former Deputy Head Lorna Jackson passed away peacefully on Thursday 28 July after a short illness. She was 88 years old.

Many of us will remember Mrs Jackson as a firm but incredibly kind person who could quash naughty behaviour with one look over the top of her glasses but who more frequently had a warm smile and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.  She was an inspirational Geography teacher and will be much missed by all who knew her.

Mrs Jackson was the beloved wife of Brian with whom she shared 74 years of memories. Our sincere condolences to Brian and children Heather and Duncan and their families. A private funeral has been held.

We would love to hear your memories of Mrs Jackson. Please send your contributions to foundation@trurohigh.co.uk including any photos you may have from your time with her here at school.
