We were delighted to welcome back a friendly face for yesterday’s Drama Masterclass session! Alumna Charlotte Rutherfoord is currently in her third year studying Actor Musicianship at the prestigious Mountview drama school, and she came in to talk to the girls about studying Drama and Musical Theatre after A-Levels.
Charlotte’s talk was a breath of fresh air - full of energy, passion and insight. Charlotte gave our GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies pupils a fantastic glimpse into the world of Performing Arts degrees, the audition process, and gave them amazing first-hand advice and encouragement.
The masterclass was especially highly valued by our Year 13s, many of whom are considering or have already applied to study Drama and/or Musical Theatre at prestigious Drama schools.
Jasmine (Y13) reflected: “I'm auditioning for Mountview as well, and this talk really helped me get an insight on what drama school and the theatre industry is like.” Jenna (Y13) said: “Charlotte provided me with insightful advice and guidance on what to expect and how to approach drama school auditions.” Grace (Y13) told us “I now feel equipped and prepared to face my own auditions with confidence and ease."
Thank you, Charlotte!
