Entitled “Rainbow of Hope” the show is a celebration of becoming a parent, evolving as an artist and facing loss and heartbreak during the pandemic.
Lamorna said: “The show means everything to me. I am painting for those no longer with us, it is a celebration of life and our beloved little county Cornwall that has kept us safe over the last two years and the exhibition is in honour of those loved ones we have all lost and a reminder that we must continue to always have hope.”
Lamorna gained a First Class Honours degree in Costume and Theatre Design at Wimbledon Art College before completing a Post Graduate degree at the National Film School. Her film and TV work has taken her to France and Australia and, for the last 21 years, she has worked as a commercial illustrator, artist and designer with clients such as Habitat and Ikea. Her works have inspired a generation of young artists and are sold and exhibited all over the UK.
The exhibition runs from 29 April to 13 May and Lamorna would be delighted to welcome as many alumnae as possible. To check opening times and organise your visit, please contact Lamorna on 07443 453886 or email lamornapenrose@gmail.com
