Yesterday we were delighted to see so many members of our school community represent Truro High School as they took part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Falmouth.

Students, parents, friends, teachers and siblings donned their brightest pink outfits and ran, walked and jogged 5K around the seafront, all to raise as much money as possible for life-saving cancer research - a cause that will have touched many of our lives in one way or another. Headmistress Sarah Matthews, Deputy Head Deb Freeman and Bursar Sarah Budd were among the runners and fundraisers on the day, and first across the finish line in the race was Year 10 Issy, rapidly followed by Year 7 Lila and Year 10, Plum.

Our Truro High ‘Muddy Mums’ team also completed the Cornwall Pretty Muddy 5K race this weekend, jumping over obstacles and tackling a mix of dry and damp terrains all to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

We are very pleased to announce that Truro High’s current fundraising total for both events is a huge £3637 and counting. Thank you so much for your generous donations, every penny raised will help to make a difference to somebody fighting cancer.
