Did you know that only 14.5% of the engineering workforce are women? It’s a balance we are seeking to redress at Truro High where all girls study three separate sciences to GCSE, and Maths and Chemistry are our most popular subjects at A level. Today we welcomed Year 8 girls from schools across Cornwall as we hosted International Women in Engineering Day, offering workshops with 20 different STEM companies from boat building to space science and from renewable energy to disaster relief.
