Congratulations to Helena Jones who has just graduated with a First Class with Honours degree for her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Film from Royal Holloway University of London!
During her 3 year course, she specialised in Play and Screenwriting! Helena wrote and assistant directed her own short film and even wrote 3 episodes of a Sitcom for a large part of her final year assessment. Helena also wrote and performed the script and original music for a Gig Theatre production which was viewed by industry professionals at the end of her third year!
Most recently she performed in The Bush Theatre in Shepherds Bush, London, in a stage adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar which she said was an incredible experience.
Having graduated, Helena is staying in London, moving in with the friends she made at university! She is hoping to work in theatre and continuing to write music and film projects.
Helena will be submitting her short film to film festivals this summer in hopes to get some funding for future projects. She is currently in the planning process of taking her Gig Theatre piece to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival next summer! Good Luck Helena.
